Homes for Sale on Lake Minnewashta

Home for sale on Lake MinnewashtaIf you’re looking to live the lake life on beautiful Lake Minnewashta there are many choices to consider.  In addition to homes that are directly on the lake (aka: “lakefront”) there are also homes that offer deeded access to Minnewashta through neighborhood associations.  There are several associations that offer dock options, beach access and the like.  You just need to know which neighborhoods offer which type of access.

Deeded access homes offer a great, and often less expensive, lake lifestyle alternative.  Minnewashta Heights, Minnewashta Manor and the LMCA (Lake Minnewashta Creek Association) are just a few of the associations that offer deeded access to the lake.  Often taxes are lower if a home isn’t directly on the lake, plus, the costs of maintaining the beach, dock and whatnot are spread out among the entire association – which can save a person a lot of money over the long haul.

Beautiful Lake Minnewashta offers something for every lake enthusiast! Located just west of Hwy 41 (Hazeltine Blvd) between Hwy 7 and Hwy 5 this 738 acre lake is a wonderful place to call home.  The lake recently received a B+ rating in 2009 Summer Water Quality from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.  There is also a Lake Minnewashta Preservation Association (LMPA) which is working towards even cleaner lake water and better lake enjoyment for today and for years to come.   Plus, the Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is located along Hwy 41 and offers miles of trails, a popular dog park, beautifully maintained public beach, picnic areas, volleyball and more!

Whether you’re interested in waterskiing, fishing, wakeboarding or just casual boating, on Lake Minnewashta you can do it all!  To learn more about the homes that are currently available for sale on Lake Minnewashta, or to learn more about the deeded lake access opportunities please contact us at 613-384-5394!
